Hello, my name is Vlad Lyulkin. I am Russian, but was born in Chirchik, Uzbekistan. I currently live in Sacramento, CA, but have found a second home for myself in the jungles of South America and plan on moving there full time.
From a young age, I began feeling a strong pull toward South America, and I would tell my friends and family, “One day, I will go and preach in Latin-speaking countries. This is my calling.” I also have old messages and conversations saved where I would tell people, “One day, I will leave the USA behind and move to the jungle to give my life to saving the lost people there.”
Now, here I am. More than 15 years have passed since then, and God introduced me to my pastor and good friend, Nathan Varble. Through him, God began pushing me to take steps toward my calling and go on missions with him to Mexico.
Then God opened doors to Lima, Peru, where Nathan was given a contact and told that there was a man in Pucallpa, Peru, with a burning desire to reach the lost people of the jungles. Nathan invited me to come along with him, and I have never been the same.
We began encountering people who had never heard the Gospel or seen a Bible, and we were shocked. Why are we so focused on being comfortable in our nice chairs in the USA when there are people here dying without ever having heard the Gospel?
We also began to encounter children who have no access to toys. We asked ourselves, why not use this as an opportunity to teach them about God and show them His love by giving them toys?
So we began making it our mission in life to reach as much people and children in the Jungles of South America before we leave this earth.
God has marked my life forever, and I will never be the same!
